Our Biodynamic Farming

Our Demeter-certified farms work in tune with the rhythms of nature following biodynamic farming, which is a holistic, sustainable approach to growing tea that treats the farm as a living organism. It’s based on the principles of biodynamics, which is a form of organic farming that takes into account the interconnectedness of all living things and the impact of cosmic rhythms on plant growth.

At Lemongrass, our farmers create a self-sustaining ecosystem on the farm, using techniques such as crop rotation, composting, and natural pest control. These natural amendments enrich the soil and the plants in ways that are impossible to achieve with chemical fertilisers. 

The end result is a tea that is not only delicious but also grown in support of the environment and the local community. That’s how we aim to create a harmonious balance between the land, the farmers, and the tea drinkers.
